1. The National Dong Hwa University Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) established the National Dong Hwa University Eastern Precious Instrument Center in order to implement the National Science and Technology Council of the Executive Yuan (hereinafter referred to as the National Science Council) subsidized basic research core facilities shared use service plan. (hereinafter referred to as the Center), performs tasks such as the centralized purchase, use, management, and maintenance of instruments, improves the efficiency of instrument use, and enhances the level of academic research. This key point is specially formulated.
2. The center will have one director, who will be responsible for handling the relevant business of the center. The dean of the college will select professors in relevant fields in the college and recommend him to the president for appointment. The term will be 2 years and may be re-elected.
3. The center may set up certain business-related groups. Each group may have one team leader, who shall be appointed by the director. Depending on actual needs, the center may hire experts and scholars inside and outside the school as joint or part-time research and technical personnel.
4. The operation of each instrument in the center is supervised by the professor in charge of each instrument, and the technicians of each instrument are responsible for execution. The annual operation and execution plan for each instrument is submitted to the center for compilation by relevant personnel, and the director of the center proposes a master plan for operation and execution accordingly.
5. The center’s funding source is mainly supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Precious Instrument Service Project, and part of it comes from school matching funds, technical service funds, consulting and work fees, training fees, academic activity fees, donations, and other income.
6. The center will hold regular center meetings by the director of the center to discuss and determine the work content and related business matters of the center.
These regulations shall be implemented after being approved by the executive meeting of the college and approved by the principal. The same applies to revisions.
